Audi, taking a leaf out of Usine Boltís rule book for winning the top prize time and time again, may have started slowly in last yearís closely watched Chinese car sales year, but in sight of the finish line the Ingolstadt prestige car maker ended Chinaís full-year 2017 car sales race with a blistering hot finish, placing it for the year once more ahead of rivals Mercedes and BMW

According to AID compiled data, and against overwhelming odds against success, for the whole of last year Audi regained the coveted prestige sector car leadership in China.

Thanks to a potent and miraculous eleventh hour sales rally from earlier fast-slipping Audi, resulting in a more than one-third jump in Chinaís December prestige car market, the hard-battling brand with the four rings completed last year with a segment-leading 597,866 Chinese car sales.

Thanks entirely to its last minute December car sales rally Audi completed last yearís car sales race in China with the only briefly vacated prestige sector car sales crown that it held almost since time immemorial.

For the whole of last year, Audi narrowly regained Chinaís prestige sector car sales crown, followed by BMW and Mercedes in second and third position.
