Spanish patient finally responds to treatment, but it will be some time yet before the
convalescing patient will again walk totally unaided
Like its Mediterranean counterparts Italy, Greece and neighbouring Portugal, Spainís economy took a severe
hammering during the only recently endured eurozone crisis.
The resulting chill has virtually halved Spainís annual car sales.
Thatís from a pre-crisis 1.6 million sales in 2007 to a two-decade low of just 0.72 million
new car sales in 2013.

The good news is however, that Spainís battered and much decimated car market is
finally on the mend, albeit with the help of a seemingly never ending car scrappage scheme.
After 21 successive months of unbroken growth, with double-digit expansion in most months, commentators
now believe that Spainís long endured car sales famine is well and truly over.
Hard on the heels of an unbroken sales recovery run that first started in September 2013,
the current year kicked off much in the same manner, with sales growing far faster than could have been
