Nissanís European streak continues, outsells Toyota in February

After setting a new all-time sales share record last year, Nissan not only outsold Toyota in February, it also breached the 4 per cent sales share level for the first time, following a near one-third jump in two months sales. 

By contrast, one of the most notable front-row losers at this early stage was Peugeot-CitroŽn.

After sinking to a lowest ever ebb last year, when its sales share sank to lowest-ever 11 per cent, PSA has clearly failed to arrest the long entrenched slide down the slippery slope. 

At this yearís two months stage its sales rose by an anaemic 1.1 per cent, which simply couldnít fail but chop PSAís two months car sales share by yet another notch. 

Thatís a dip to 11.4 per cent from an already lowish 12 per cent at the same stage last year
