Audi likely to retain UKís prestige car sales crown for second year running

Audi Sales history UK plus history to 2014

At the ten months stage Audiís UK market share already stands at an improved 6.5 per cent after capturing a significantly higher 7.2 per cent during October itself. 

Judged on recent form, Audi is expected to fight tooth and nail to retain that 6.5 per cent share held at the ten months stage. 

That compares with an unchanged 5.8 per cent for BMW and a slightly improved 5 per cent from Mercedes. 

After nudging aside long leading BMW during the course of last year, and with both its nearest rivals kept safely at armís length, Audi is currently expected to remain Britainís leading prestige car brand for the second year running. 

Likelihood now is that Audiís full year sales in Britain could conceivably touch the 160,000 level this year after breaching the 100,000 level only three years earlier
