Britain first to emerge from Europeís long drawn out car sales drought

The 32nd successive month of continuous improvement helped lift Britainís ten months car sales to 2.1 million units, marking the first time since pre-crisis 2007 that Britainís new car sales for this particular spell have passed the 2 million mark. 

These latest upbeat figures bear out the now widely held contention that at least in Britain the long drawn-out car sales drought in now well and truly over.

Britainís new car market, compared with much of continental Europe, still stands out as an oasis of calm.
