Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV sales trends Europe

At a time when pricey plug-ins (PHEVs) have failed to generate even a faint blip on Europeís autoindustry radar screens, AIDís exclusively compiled figures point to the meteoric ascent of just one solitary sector newcomer 

Rising literally overnight from its formerly held position of almost total obscurity - with the exception of the Netherlands - Mitsubishiís Outlander PHEV (CO
2 44g/km) streaked to the forefront and currently ranks as this yearís unchallenged star performer in Europeís ĎUltra-low-Emission-Vehicleí (ULEV) segment.

Nine months Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV registrations in Western Europe


Its newly won status as the biggest hitter in the regionís still embryonic plug-in market is driven home by AIDís own numbers showing that in the nine months to September this year the Outlander PHEV has comfortably outsold every other rival in the regionís ULEV segment. 

That includes Nissanís Leaf, which, according to AID figures, has comfortably retained Europeís electric car sales crown.
