Porsche, the manufacturer of desirable high-status cars, and one of the Volkswagen Group’s still gleaming prestige sector jewels, expectedly became the world’s fastest growing prestige carmaker in August

Buoyed in large measure by the market debut of its new Macan, the smaller brother of its highly successful Cayenne SUV-Crossover, Porsche’s global sales in August rose by almost a third to just under 15,000 units, according to AID compiled figures

The latest steep rise brings Porsche’s cumulative global prestige car sales total to almost 120,000 units after just 8-months, up 12.2 per cent over last year’s comparative total, thus keeping Porsche on course for yet another global car sales record...more
