Not exactly a flying start from Nissanís new Datsun GO

Nissanís attempt to capture a sizeable share of Indiaís large market for cheap and cheerful small cars with its newly reintroduced Datsun brand, clearly failed to get off to the expected storming start

That, at least is the message from the first set of sales figures from India where the Datsun GO first went on sale in March.

With prices starting at Rupee 312,270 (Ä3,803), first month sales of the Micra-based 4-door hatchback reached some 2,068 units, AID obtained figures reveal. Better still, April sales of the Datsun GO rose to 2,690 units...more
