Following the hysteria surrounding Romanian immigrants travelling to Western Europe at the start
of this year and the somewhat overzealous media reporting, Romanian cars have paradoxically
been most welcome
Dacia, the Renault owned Romanian budget car brand entered the UK market somewhat belatedly
last year, having been on sale in France since 2005.
The new second generation Logan MCV (Maximum Capacity Vehicle), estate to you and me -
unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motor Show - becomes the fourth Dacia model to reach British shores since the brand
entered the market just one year ago.
Based on a stretched version of the last generation Renault Clio III platform the MCV has been available
in right-hand-drive guise on UK roads since September last year.
Currently only offered as the estate version of the Logan saloon in the UK it sits between the
small-sector Sandero, Sandero Stepway and small SUVCrossover Duster in terms of price.
Dacia confirmed to AID that in the UK they have no current plans to
offer the Logan in saloon guise...more
