Renault ZOE blue 2013 ready to go

By any measure, Renaultís ZOE has clearly failed to live up to observersís high expectations. 

Unlike Nissanís earlier unveiled Leaf, Renaultís ZOE was confidently expected to inject some desperately needed consumer interest into Europeís electric car market, thanks chiefly to its markedly more affordable price tag. 

Above all, given Renaultís considerable marketing muscle and its implied determination to make at least a big splash during its closely watched launch phase, ZOE was confidently tipped as this yearís top selling electric car in Europe. 

Not so, as it turns out.

After market presence of some eight months, and apart from the expected sparkly firework display in its domestic French market in March, ZOE appears to have slipped quietly into the regionís already largely lifeless electric car market
