Investors see similar boost from new S-Class, GLA, C-Class, but shares look over-valued compared with BMW, VW - Mercedes plan to introduce flashy new models and produce them much more efficiently than it managed with the old worthy dullards – substantial latest effort is starting to pay off big

In the third quarter, Mercedes parent company Daimler reported profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose 16 per cent to €2.23 billion from €1.92 in the same period last year, as sales of the attractive new CLA and facelifted E-Class accelerated.

With sales of brand new versions of the top of the range S-Class just getting underway, and a new GLA compact SUV-Crossover, set for launch in the spring, analysts expect profit margins to fatten and sales to gain momentum
