Trucks on the move again 
Europe’s truck recovery takes root, thanks to autumn pre-buying spree

That at least is the upbeat message from latest Volvo truck delivery figures, showing that Volvo’s own September truck deliveries in Western Europe topped last year’s same month levels by almost a third. 

That’s a jump to 3,121 units compared with the markedly lower 2,365 trucks delivered in the region during September last year. 

This was a marked improvement on the 12.2 per cent dip in Volvo’s first half truck deliveries. 

Truck industry’s delivery numbers, allied to data on order intake rate, are widely seen as a tell-tale barometer of the market’s underlying health and likely future direction
