China’s car market makes a habit of defying even the most optimistic predictions. This year’s underlying car sales pace has not slowed to walking pace as earlier predicted, but instead has picked up added pace during the summer months

Far from slowing, as generally expected during the early part of this year, China’s car market has picked up added pace during the summer months, prompting previously cautious forecasters to revise upwards earlier demand forecast for this year.
